Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — absolutely. Every estimate we provide is completely free with no obligation. We'll visit your property, walk through the project with you, and provide a detailed written quote that breaks down the scope of work, the products we'll use, and the total cost. No surprise fees.

Pricing is based on several factors: the square footage of surfaces to be painted, the condition of the surfaces (preparation required), the number of coats needed, the type of paint or stain selected, and the complexity of the project (height, access, detail work). We'll explain every line item in your estimate so you understand exactly what you're paying for.

A small deposit is typically required to schedule larger projects and secure your spot on our calendar. The specific deposit amount will be outlined in your project agreement. Final payment is collected upon completion, after you've done a walkthrough and are satisfied with the results.

Yes. Monroy Painting is fully licensed and carries both general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to provide documentation upon request. Hiring an insured contractor protects your property and gives you peace of mind throughout the project.
Project timelines vary based on scope. A single interior room typically takes 1–2 days. A full exterior repaint may take 3–7 days, depending on the size of the home and surface conditions. We'll give you a realistic timeline in your estimate and communicate any changes promptly.

For interior projects, it's helpful to move smaller items and valuables out of the room beforehand. Larger furniture can be moved to the center of the room, and we'll protect everything with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. We handle floor and surface protection as part of our standard process.

You don't need to be home the entire time, but we do ask that you or a representative be available for the start of the project to review the plan, and for the final walkthrough at completion. Many of our clients work during the day while we paint — we respect your home as if it were our own.
